In 2008, just one year after their double disc debut, The Outskirts of Your Heart, Pat Todd & the Rankoutsiders returned with yet another testament to the enduring spirit of Rock 'n' Roll with Holding Onto Trouble's Hand, described as "an Exile on Mainstreet for a post-Ramones world".
This release marked the welcome return of original Lazy Cowgirls' bassist Keith Telligman as well as the debut of Defendants front man Rob Bolger on rhythm guitar and vox. Guest musicians included Rick Shea (Dave Alvin), Earle Mankey (Sparks), Michael Leigh (Lazy Cowgirls), and Paul Mejias.
Holdin' onto Trouble's Hand" continues in the same rockin' vein as latter era Cowgirls classics such as "Rank outsider" and "Somewhere down the line". Pat Todd has to be one of the most prolific writers of catchy awesome rock'n'roll songs ever and I consider myself a lucky man to have opened once for the Lazy Cowgirls with my former band, THE VICE BARONS in the mid 1990's.
