The New Salem Witch Hunters are a Garage-Rock institution in their native Cleveland, Ohio. Back in 1986, the Witch Hunters were more than Cleveland's entry into the then-burgeoning 1960s garage-rock revival -- the group was a revelation. Even if you were hip to underground Beatles devotees like the Fuzztones and Marshmallow Overcoat, the Witch Hunters beat 'em all by dispensing with the trappings and just wailing. Tom Fallon's guitar jangle set the tone, but the manic mood was really ratcheted up by singer Dave Atkins' table-hopping at gigs, as well as his between-song banter on such subjects as Anne Frank and President, Andrew Johnson. Not to mention his giant Afro and full beard, which were completely incongruous with any conceivable "modern-rock" look.

9 Deadtime Stories (Monroe, Wilder)
While Demolition 23 is technically a band effort, this is really a Michael Monroe solo album. Once again working with producer and co-writer Little Steven Van Zandt, Monroe dispenses with the hair metal affectation and goes straight for the punk rock jugular. Monroe also emerges as a songwriter on this album, a trend that would continue with his next releases. Demolition 23 grew out of a series of shows at the Grand in New York, billed as Michael Monroe & Friends. With the same lineup as on the album (including former Hanoi Rocks bassman Sam Yaffa) augmented by Little Steven and Joey Ramone, the band tore through a bunch of originals, and the usual helping of Johnny Thunders, Dead Boys, and Ramones covers. The lyrics on this album are generally the best to date for Monroe. Tales of alienation like "Nothin's Alright" and "Dysfunctional" sit right alongside stories of loss such as "The Scum Lives On," a song about his dead buddies, most notably Thunders and Stiv Bators.

It’s now been five months since he hasn't been able to work and the bills continue to pile up while he continues to fight his disease. If you haven’t already done so, please consider helping out and donate on the following page: http://www.thereducers.com/
There is also a benefit show for Steve in the planning for Friday, June 15th at the Hygienic Art Park featuring the Rivergods, Dogbite, Ken Atkins & the Honky Tonk Kind, Original Sinners in addition to other special guests! Mark your calendars, save the date and plan on being there! It’ll be a fun night of great music and all the money raised will go to Steve and Charlene to help ease their financial situation/burden/worries.
And in a remarkable display of solidarity from the other side of the world, there will be a benefit for Steve taking place in Tokyo! On Saturday, June 2nd our friends Firestarter, Raydios, Rockbottom and the Gimmies will perform at the Shimokitazawa Three club with all profits donated to help Steve! The Reducers - Old Cons (2003)

Police Car (Larry Wallis)
Hippy Hippy Shake (Chan Romero)
(I Thought I Heard A) Heartbeat (The Inmates)

Three Bells In A Row (Ten Pole Tudor)
Breakout (Chris Spedding)
Goin' Back Home (Dr. Feelgood)
Sleepwalk (Santo & Johnny)
Roaring their way out of the boring landscape that is New London, CT, the Reducers were one of the great underrated bands of the '80s. The band recorded, in just under two years, three albums of punk- and pub rock-inspired rowdy rock & roll, chock-full of wiseass ruminations on life and love. The Reducers were post-punks with a formalist approach to rock & roll: two guitars, bass, and drums that echoed mid-'60s British Invasion and American garage rock. What made them different from the average retro-rock bar band was being hip, funny, and smarter-than-most; plus having two ace songwriters in Hugh Birdsall and Peter Detmold. Absolutely great rock and roll.

12. Broken Arrow
13. Walking
God Bless Andy Shernoff for pulling together Keith Streng and Bill Milhizer of The Fleshtones and Paul Johnson of Waxing Poetics for an old-school rock 'n' roll session. Heavy shades of Shernoff's Dictators and The Fleshtones, mixed with flavors of surf, '60s garage and '70s glam. Three of the four contribute tunes, including Shernoff's late-Dictators era, "What's Up With That," Johnson's Ramones-y "You're Mine," and Streng's buzzing surf instrumental "Picketts Charge."Not surprisingly, these rock 'n' roll old-timers rework some unusual covers, including Peppermint Harris' "I Got Loaded," Lloyd Price's R&B lament "Just Because," and Hank Ballard's answer-song "Annie Had a Baby." The latter provides particularly fertile ground for the band to Rock. This record is fun from end to end.

The Vibrators - Live at the Marquee 1977
In FLAC - Scans are included
1. Wrecked On You
2. No Fun
3. London Girls
4. Wake Up
5. He's a Psycho
6. No Heart
7. Baby Baby
8. Sweet Sweet Heart
9. Whips and Furs
10. I Need A Slave
11. Feel Alright
12. Sex Kick
13. Jumpin' Jack Flash
14. Bad Times
15. She's Bringing You Down
That the Vibrators were one of the much less important, second-division acts on the original 1976-1977 English punk scene yet were still this great, and this fun, says all you need to know about how incredible that scene (and that era) was. They may not have been the Pistols, Clash, Buzzcocks, Damned, and so on, but this gang of social deviants had their place, then and now. Despite a few silly, bad-taste lyrics (not such a bad idea then), they lit up the night with infectious dynamism, a crude, get-right-to-it approach, and a pile of trad-based riffs -- something made doubly clear by the no-overdubs, total verve Live at the Marquee. Years later, these live, speed-ridden versions of "London Girls," "Whips and Furs," "I Need a Slave," "Baby, Baby," and other Pure Mania kicks still make you want to get up and pogo around your cramped living room. And even Iggy's Stooges and the Rolling Stones would feel like joining you in your jump-around if they heard what these guys do to "No Fun" and "Jumping Jack Flash."

Slaughter And The Dogs - Do It Dog Style
In Flac - scans are included
1. Where Have All The Boot Boys Gone
2. Victims of the Vampire
3. Boston Babies
4. I'm Waiting For The Man
5. I'm Mad
6. Quick Joey Small

10. Since You Went Away
11. Who Are The Mystery Girls
12. Dame To Blame
13. Johnny T
14. Come On Back
Slaughter And The Dogs first came to the blank generation nation's attention when they blagged the hard-fought support slot to the Sex Pistols' legendary Manchester debut in July 1976. While uniformly squeezed into the haphazard haberdashery of the Kings Road, Slaughter's hearts belonged in another era. They were named by combining album titles from Mick Ronson and David Bowie, covered Velvet Underground and New York Dolls material and grew their hair back as soon as it seemed reasonably safe to do so. Consequently, their glam-angled three chord plummets always seemed slightly contrived, yet the cartoon yob ludicrousness of Do It Dog Style is nothing short of irresistible.

Giuda - Racey roller
In FLAC - Scans are included
Working from the same glammy three-chord blueprint as contemporaries like Slade, T. Rex, Status Quo, and the Sweet, GIUDA take you back to a monumental by gone era of Rock N Roll. Specifically the early 70's pre-punk, glitter days when music was all about monstrous riffs, bousterous attitudes, high energy experimentation and fun. GIUDA take that same glammy, proto-punk foundation and fuse it with the grimy, tattered muck of bands like Eddie And The Hot Rods, The Pack, PVC and The Kids to create a timeless arsenal of glam injected, pub rock classics. Top notch glitter-fused, punk rock slop that has as much to do with the Faces and Slaugher and the Dogs as it does the UK Junk Shop bands from the '70's' like Hector, Plod and the Rats. Absolutely crushing Full Length here. Ex-members of TAXI.

One of the more optimistic moments of his childhood came in 1962, when his sister took him to see James Brown at The Apollo. Brown’s energy formed a lasting impression on Charles. He went home and immediately began practicing microphone tricks with a broom attached to a string, imitating the Godfather’s every move. With his newfound inspiration came an urgent desire to get off the streets and make something of himself. https://rapidshare.com/files/3210049273/Charles_Bradley_-_No_Time_For_Dreaming_FLAC.rar
