The Love Me Nots - The Demon And The Devotee

The Love Me Nots - The Demon And The Devotee

In Flac - covers are included

1. The End of The Line 2. I'm Gonna Be Your Girl 3. Demons 4. She's Nothing Like Me 5. I'm Not Okay 6. Cheap Knockoff 7. Make Up Your Mind 8. He Doesn't Share Well 9. Trouble 10. Stay 11. Let's Get Wrecked 12. The Girl Lights Up

"The Demon and The Devotee: Enthusiastic as hell, furiously hammering blows of killer riffs and organ loops (“I’m Gonna Be Your Girl,” “Make Up Your Mind”), just perfect for barbecue parties on the beach. But The Demon… also ventures into some more pop terrain, like the compelling “She’s Nothing Like Me,” the very new wave “Stay,” or the bewitching “Trouble,” where the flush of sixties nostalgia appears more than ever. True fans might need two or three listens to succumb to the charm of this record. The novices should be conquered automatically."

Sons Of Hercules - A different kind of ugly

Sons Of Hercules -A different kind of ugly

In Flac - covers are included

1. A Different Kind Of Ugly 2. Brain Dead 3. Misunderstood 4. Your Salvation 5. Numb 6. Still Waitin 7. Startin To Slip 8. No Regrets 9. Too Much Fun 10. Bad Blood 11. Rock Of Gibraltar 12. Easy Action

Texas long reigning garage rock kings The Sons Of Hercules are back with their new full-length disc A Different Kind Of Ugly. The Sons make no big departures from their time tested formula: Pounding drums, riffing guitars and punk attitude courtesy of legendary frontman Frank Pugliese. Chris ''Frenchie'' Smiths sharp production takes the bands near perfect synthesis of Dolls, Dead Boys and Stooges to new heights on rockers like Brain Dead, Startin To Slip, A Different Kind Of Ugly and the pop-friendly Your Salvation. Also includes a cover of the Saints "Misunderstood". This disc is a must-have for any fan of the Garage Rock/Punk genre.

Sons of Hercules - Get Lost

Sons of Hercules - Get Lost
In FLAC - covers are included
1. Get Lost 2. No No No 3. Grow Up? 4. Outta Your Head 5. Best Friend 6. Can't Get Enough of You 7. Some Kind of Freak 8. Sick Luv 9. I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better 10. Hard Time 11. Too Late 12. Cockeyed Man 13. Don't Wanna Be Like You
Almost all of the songs are channeling Iggy or the New York Dolls, which is not something many bands can pull off. The drumming and bass playing are incredible, and the songwriting is sharp with many hooks that get stuck in your head almost as soon as you turn it up. Every song's a winner. This is a great garage-punk record that you gotta have.

HORMONES - Where Old Ghosts Meet

The HORMONES - Where Old Ghosts Meet

in wav - Covers are included.

Stay ahead / Don't let them get you down / This is the sound / Radio stars / Mr Wilson / A house by the hill / All we thought / Dig like merry hell / Someplace somewhere / The kisser / Feel alright / Where all ghosts meet .

The Hormones were formed in London in 1995. The band were to release 5 singles which were all met with acclaim but little commercial success.Things started to look up when US Sitcom
'Friends' used B-Side Track, 'Tired Old Souls' in an episode. They were subsequently asked to appear in an episode (playing the wedding band at x and y's wedding). This appearance led to a flood of interest in the band which left them in an optimistic mood for the future and the release of their debut album. The 'Where Old Ghosts Meet' album was recorded in 1998. However, problems at the record label meant that on the day that the album was released, the band were dropped from their record label. The band went on to tour Europe in1999 before Marc Carroll decided to split the band and went solo for a successful career ! Make sure to check "Mr Wilson" what a great song that is and worth alone the download.

A History of Memphis Garage Rock: The 90's

A History of Memphis Garage Rock: The 90's

In FLAC - covers are included

1. Emulsified (Gibson Bros.) 2. Shake, Rattle and Roll (Monsieur Jeffrey Evans and La Fong) 3. (Paperboy Blues) 68 Comeback 4. Bad Taste (Compulsive Gamblers) 5. How Long (Oblivians) 6. Honey, I'm Too Old (Jack Oblivian) 7. Bad Man (Greg Oblivian and the Tip Tops) 8. For a Little While (Cool Jerks) 9. Wild About You (AAAA New Memphis Legs) 10. LTD A Go Go (Impala) 11. Don't Crowd Your Mind (Lorette Velvette) 12. You Look Good (Grundies) 13. Road to Nowhere (Snakehips) 14. Eyeful (Neckbones) 15. Johnny Rebel (Satyrs) 16. Losing Hand (Royal Pendletons) 17. Jailbait (King Louie the 69th and the Harahan Crack Combo
The story of the '90s Memphis underground begins and ends with three guys, Jeff Evans, Jack Yarber, and Greg Cartwright (aka Jack Oblivion and Greg Oblivion). They figure heavily in the lineups of the bands appearing here, from the Gibson Bros.' happily raw cover of Rex Garvin's "Emulsified," to all The Oblivions-named stuff, to the Compulsive Gamblers' "Bad Taste," which, with its delightfully warbling vocals and whizzing organ runs is a pretty good primer of the funky white-man-sound of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. (Spencer once played with the Gibson Bros.). "Honey, I'm Too Old" is an old, surprisingly heartfelt Sympathy for the Record Industry side of Jack Oblivion's, while the Cool Jerks' "For a Little While" lurches and roars with boozy, glammy ardor. A cool Dick Dale-influenced instrumental from Impala offers a brief respite from all the swaggerin' and bloozy punk bluster, before Lorette Velvette's one-note electro boogie plunges you right back in it with the '60s update barn dance come-on of "Don't Crowd Your Mind." The Neckbones ("Eyeful") turn everything to 12 and pour beer on the mic, while the Satyrs' "Johnny Rebel" harbors a similar disrespect for eardrums. The ambitiously-named King Louie the 69th & the Harahan Crack Combo closes out the comp with the naughty trash overdrive of "Jailbait." This much is true: it isn't robbing liquor stores that knocked this King off his throne. In the end, History of Memphis Garage Rock is really more like a box of greasy Polaroids than a historical timeline. But age hasn't faded those shots, and it doesn't lessen the immediacy of these rave-ups. ~ Johnny Loftus, Rovi

The CHOADS - The World Ain't Round It's Square

THE CHOADS -The World Ain't Round It's Square (TAPE RIP)

In wav - covers are included

1.Spit And Polish2.Another Day Another Man3.The Jolly Green Giant4.Depth Charge5.I Want Some Of That6.Grandmas Panties7.God Damn The Choads8.Smokes9.Tiger By The Tail10.Bamboozled11.Monkey Man12.Hungry Man13.Strange Rampage14.The Wiggler15.Keyholes Are For Peeping

For those who missed the Choads in the early 90's, you missed a good thing... five-piece: keys, guitar, bass, drums and a lead singer who was a dead ringer for Fred Flintstone. A Pre-Forbidden Dimension/ Pre-Von Zippers band, which released only a fantastic tape; a fake 60s band, really funny. One side is "Live in the 60s", but of course, it just isn't!http://www.multiupload.com/FT8SNL7SF8

The BLOODY TEARS, like their label, Licorice Tree, are based in Austin. They are known as a super-group, based on the fact that members of the SONS OF HERCULES, THE CRACK PIPES and TRANSGRESSORS have found themselves together, making some kind of garage punk with strong r'n'b roots. This is a hip shakin', ass wigglin' album that evokes everything good about the late 60s garage soul scene but with a sheer garage sensibility. The album was recorded in Sweat Box Studio in Austin, and mixed with Jim Diamond. If you like The Lyres, The Woggles or the Come ons, this is right up your alley.

JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound - Beat Of Our Own Drum

JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound - Beat Of Our Own Drum

In Flac - covers are included

1. Baltimore Is the New Brooklyn 2. The Beat of Our Own Drum 3. Hold You Back 4. Love One Another 5. 75 Years of Art Sex 6. How to Stop Loving Someone Who's Stopped Loving You 7. He Does the Town 8. Here Comes the Fall 9. Alright 10. Berry Please

Limburg introduced me to this band, and boy was he right! JC Brooks is determined to become the next in the long line of classic Chicago Soul singers. Sam Cooke, Curtis Mayfield, Syl Johnson - JC has learned from them all, and he's got no illusions about what it takes to become a classic. Armed with The Uptown Sound, one of the most ferocious bands to ever crawl up out of the windy city, JC's live shows are all-out assaults on the audience employing everything from raw funk to heart-drenched R&B. Guaranteed to make you dance by any means necessary. JC Brooks is the new sound of Chicago. If you dig BLACK JOE LEWIS, THIS IS RIGHT UP YOUR ALLEY!

Clovis Roblaine - 1979 - The Clovis Roblaine Story

Clovis Roblaine - 1979 - The Clovis Roblaine Story

@ 320 kbps - Covers are included

1. Monster Love 2. Too Choked Up 3. Animal 4. Torch Song 5. How Could You Be So Cruel? 6. My Heart 7. Space Surfin' 8. Please Don't Call Me Cool Guy 9. The Passion 10. Stone Cold 11. I'll Keep You Warm (Jackie's Song)

Buddy Holly, Del Shannon, the Drifters, Phil Spector, the Everlys, Link Wray, the Ventures, and the Beatles were some of the main influences on Clovis Roblaine. The songs I listened to were things like "Peggy Sue", "Runaway", "Stand by Me", and instrumentals like "Walk, Don't Run", "Jack the Ripper", and "Baja". The sound was different in the 60's,and that's the sound I like. Nobody I knew was recording like that in 1979, so I decided to do it myself." In 1978, Clovis and Twinkie drummer Jim Herbst built a garage studio in Norman, Oklahoma. Clovis proceeded to record demos in order to get his engineering chops down, never intending to make an album. "Most of the songs were written in a two week period just to give myself material to engineer. I usually didn't finish the words until I was forced to do the vocals. That's why I like instrumentals - no words." Twinkie guitarist Terry Joe "Buffalo" Ware played on almost all of the sessions along with a host of Oklahoma musicians.

1. Lookin For A Thrill 2. Pure Cane Sugar 3. Secondhand Heart 4. She'll Dance To Anything 5. Cookie Bones 6. Let's Get Gone 7. Smoke In A Bottle 8. Otherwise 9. Rock N Roll Will Break 10. Your Heart 11. If I Were You 12. Too Hip 13. Doin' The Devil's Work

JOHN PAUL KEITH & THE ONE FOUR FIVES have released their debut cd on Big Legal Mess Records - an imprint of the legendary Fat Possum label of Oxford, Miss. Just who the hell are these people? Well, John Paul Keith is a native of Knoxville, TN, who has moved around a lot and played in a lot of bands (The V-Roys, The Nevers, Ryan Adams' Pink Hearts, Stateside, Harlan T. Bobo, Jack Oblivian, and Jim Dickinson's garage rock project, Snake Eyes). Keith moved to Memphis a couple years ago and hooked up with Alvin Youngblood Hart's former rhythm section, bassist M. EDGAR STUART and drummer JOHN ARGROVES. Not content to embarrass just themselves, they soon recruited guitarist/producer/recording engineer KEVIN CUBBINS, along with pedal steel player JOHN WHITTEMORE (Jack Oblivian & The Tennessee Tearjerkers), and organist/piano man AL GAMBLE.
