The Booby Traps - Makin' It With
@ 320 kbps - Covers are included
Make It Stop! Searchin' Diddley Wrong Dig Your Attitude Long Way To Go L.A. Kinda Day Bad Reaction Going Nowhere What A Guy Can't Do
The Booby Traps long awaited second release "Makin' It with The Booby Traps" is without fail their finest recording to date.
The follow up to their successful and critically acclaimed self titled CD showcases the many influences and talents of the band. Although certainly entrenched in the 60's garage punk vein, their 2009 release finds us with an eclectic mix of self penned tunes in soul, west-coast pop and straight out rock'n'roll!
From the first track of 'Makin' It' the BT's are channelling The Who circa '65, 'Diddley Wrong' a skull bustin' Bo beat shaker, 'Long Way To Go' a tough soul dance stomper, 'Searchin'' a harmony soaked Mamas & Papas inspired tune & 'Bad Reaction' a snarling fuzz killer in typical '66 North West style...this is just a snap shot of the how this buzzin' beer coaster is going to hit your sub-woofers!

The Shambles - 20 Explosive Hits

The Shambles - 20 Explosive Hits

@ 320 kbps - Covers are included

The Shambles' fifth full-length release is a loving tribute to the classic K-Tel multi-artist albums of the 1970's! “20 Explosive Hits”, is a bit of a misleading title since it gathers 21 prime cover tunes from throughout their career, plus a 4-song medley. With their catalog currently out of print, this is the only way to find them putting their stamp on songs by The Who ("Is It In My Head"), Jeremy ("It's Getting Better"), Squire ("Does Stephanie Know?"), Oasis ("She's Electric"), The Monkees ("Daily Nightly"), The Beatles ("Fixing A Hole"), The Jam ("But I'm Different Now"), The Zombies ("You Make Me Feel Good"), Connie Francis ("Warm This Winter"), The Undertones ("It's Going To Happen"), Ringo Starr ("Snookeroo"), Rain Parade ("You Are My Friend"), The Birds/Eddie Holland ("Leavin' Here"), The Raspberries ("Might As Well") and more! Many of the tracks make an appearance on a Shambles release for the first time, with the whole thing capped off by the band’s infamous “San Diego Medley” live aural compilation of San Diego related hit songs ("In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", "Rhythm Of The Rain", "Meant To Live", and "What Do All The People Know"). The rough medley was taped, off the cuff, at the end of a session at Strate Sound Studios, for FM94.9’s "Pyles Sessions" show, helmed by Tim Pyles. GREAT!!!

Another RATGIRL's Surprise

hello kiddies,

here's another RATGIRL's surprise :
This band is one of the longest running Pop Punk bands ever, and now after years of lying low, they're finally back with their first all new album in over a decade. Short sharp songs played with precision and power that evoke the spirit of the Descendents and The Ramones, but also add a generous helping of pop sensibilities to the mix. The result is a sweet as sugar, yet tough as nails concoction that goes down easy but still packs a punch.

Highlights include a surf instro version of JOHN LENNON's 'Across The Universe', an electric sitar reading of DAVID BOWIE's ' Space Oddity', and a twist cover of LOUIE PRIMA´s 'Beep Beep'!!! Los Straitjackets - Supersonic Guitars in 3-D

@ 320 kbps - Covers are included

1. Squid 2. Dipinto Twist 3. Time Bomb 4. Can You Dig It? 5. San Diego Shutdown 6. Isn't Love Grand? 7. Giggle Water 8. Midnight in Salerno 9. Beach Bag 10. Jungleaya 11. Galaxy Drive 12. Tarantula 13. Dreamland

This is another fine instrumental rock album from the modern masters of the genre. Some may call it "surf music", but it really isn't. They don't play the kind of guitars typically found in a surf band, and their music is more eclectic than your average surf band. There is certainly a surf influence here, but they seem to be more influenced by non-surf intrumental bands, like the Ventures and Davie Allen & the Arrows. Anyway, this album is a lot of fun and will be enjoyed by fans of good time instrumental rock and roll.

The Revellions - The Revellions

The Revellions - The Revellions

@ 320 kbps - Covers are included

The Revellions were forged amidst a haze of frustration and red neon lights in the early days of 2006. Coming from the dark, dank caverns of the Dublin garage underground they juggled about with a lineup and soon met wailing blues singer Ali Moore. The Revellions then lined up into attack formation and unleashed a wave of garage frenzy onto the unsuspecting publicThey recorded their eponymous debut album at the infamous Cirrco Perrotti studios in Spain, produced by Jorge Explosion(Dr. Explosion) & Mike Mariconda(The Raunch Hands), and released it on Dirty Water Records in late 2008 to excellent reviews.

The smithereens - Meet The Smithereens

The smithereens - Meet The Smithereens

@ 320 kbps - Covers are included

1. I Want To Hold Your Hand 2. I Saw Her Standing There 3. This Boy 4. It Won't Be Long 5. All I've Got To Do 6. All My Loving 7. Don't Bother Me 8. Little Child 9. Till There Was You 10. Hold Me Tight 11. I Wanna Be Your Man 12. Not A Second Time

Sometimes recording even a single Beatles cover can be a perilous undertaking. So for the Smithereens to have the impudence to rerecord Meet the Beatles in its entirety (even though some purists don't recognize it as canonical) is like taking the studio to edge of the cliff. But wait! While reaching the Fab Four stratosphere is impossible, this New Jersey pop combo, whose last record was released in 1999, comes about as close as any band could in celebrating the 43rd anniversary of this groundbreaking record. Sure, the lead-vocal fury that Lennon and McCartney created in 1964 can't be restored, and the three-part harmonies are less than hair-raising. But from the opening three chords of "I Want to Hold Your Hand," the Smithereens are respectful to the album's legacy, and let virtually no element slip past them. There's that "1-2-3-4!" countdown to "I Saw Her Standing There," the same virile harmonica in "Little Child," and a doo-wop tang to the ever-underappreciated "This Boy."Scott Holter

MARK & THE SPIES, these sixties beat hitmakers, hailing from a little village in the Netherlands, started out as a rock'n'roll trio, only having a few vocal songs, but mostly instrumental Link Wray kinda stuff. After some gigs they broke up, reunited and broke up again. After that Mark (bass/vocals) and Arjan (guitar/vocals) started writing songs of their own. They found themselves a new drummer (Gerrit), a keyboard/saxophone player (Jelle) and things got finally pushed in the right direction. At the beginning of 2007 their first official release saw the light of day, a 7' EP on the Spanish label Butterfly Records and people all around the globe immediately started to rave about it. Because of their enthusiasm, energetic live performances and irresistible charms, these four guys are becoming more and more popular.
