This reissue of the Cynics' debut album contains the entire "Blue Train Station" LP along with other material recorded at the same time. Some of the non-LP tracks appeared on various 45s which are now long out-of-print, and there is one previously unreleased cut. Remixed and remastered for your listening pleasure. The cd is full of classic rhythm and blues tinged with portions of folk-rock, psychedelia, and Hammond organ garage stomp. More than mere camp '60s revivalism, The Cynics hit upon a style of timeless, melodic rock with momentous pop melodies. The title track chugs along like a locomotive with full-powered R&B guitar strum and harmonica blasts, while the snarling punk scream of "No Way" is aided by the use of maracas. http://sharebee.com/ff7a4322
